Reworked Skirt

My sister-in-law gave me this skirt along with a bunch of other very gently used clothes (I love her shopping obsession, it's elevated my wardrobe tremendously... now to only get into a size 6...).  This skirt was in it & it was just too long for me.

She likes more tea length skirts & dresses, but I'm a strict knee length kind of girl.  The great thing about the length of her skirts is they can be remade into something else.

I just loved the fabric.  It's a lovely lightweight linen with this gorgeous embroidery.

I decided to take it and sew Simplicity 2593 in view B.  I purchased extra linen to make view A, but decided to leave it simple.  The fabric is enough fanciness.  :)

It came out pretty nicely and this pattern was so simple.  I just love a quick project!  It's always the best to get some instant-ish gratification.

xoxo,

  3. Oh Jacqui, I am in LOVE with the tabs. I'm addicted now. Watch me end up with ten of them & max out my tab capacity! I was thinking about your weather today on my walk to work. I was in flip flops and for some reason you crossed my mind. I thought, "Hmmm, it's getting warmer here and I can wear flip flops for the first time this year. I bet Jacqui is getting cold..."

Thanks Lolls!! My skillz run deep!
